Your Questions About Cheap Travel Tickets Mexico

Mary asks…

Does there exist any Mexican website similar to Expedia, Travelocity etc. to find cheap travel from Mexico?

I am currently living in Mexico looking for flights to the Caribbean or the Central or South America. I am having a hard time finding good deals. It is so difficult to go from one airline website to another, is there not a way to do it similar to in the US with some website that does a search of a whole bunch of airlines. If anyone knows of anything like this in Mexico let me know. I know i can use expedia or other US sites to do it, but i don´t feel like they are designed for this use and thus don´t produce the best results or the cheapest tickets. Thanks.

Your Questions About Cheap Travel Destinations Europe

Robert asks…

What are the cheapest counties to travel to in Europe?

I’m looking for a destination that is scenic, has nice beaches, hiking/trails etc, not too touristy and not too commercial. Also, a country that is close to other countries in Europe for day trips etc.I plan to stay in hostels.
Please recommend some destinations and share your experiences with me! Thanks :)

Mel Still answers:

Hungary is cheap as well there are lots of great SPA and great aquaparks in Hungary. E.g.:
http://www.best-of-european-union.eu/2010/07/27/aquaworld-the-biggest-aquapark-of-europe-in-budapest-hungary/ and there is also Balaton lake.

But I would suggest you to stay in Prague, Czech republic and from Prague you can go also to Dresden for one day by train, then to Wien for one day trip. Cesky Krumlov in Czech republic is very nice as well. Prague is cheap, the menu – soup + main meal and beer costs 6Eur in any restaurant (or 12Eur in a really very expensive and well located – means directly in the Old town square)…

So Czech republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgary are cheap countries. Now also Spain seemed to me quite cheap in June. Menu 8.50Eur (soup or salad + main meal + drink – wine + cake). Great nature as well. Also Canarian islands are quite cheap in May, June and winter.

Your Questions About Cheap Travel Airline Flights

Maria asks…

need cheap airline travel?

which website can give me the cheapest flight from richmond virginia to miami flordia

Mel Still answers:

You didn’t specify when/the dates and if flexible or not.

Try Kayak: http://www.kayak.com/ – it searches for multiple airlines with prices from the lowest to highest apparently.

There’d even be a calender showing the prices for what dates of the month, too.

Your Questions About Cheap Travel Fares

Susan asks…

How do I find cheap air fares?

Most search engines (travelocity, orbitz, etc) start with the travel dates. I don’t know the travel dates because I want to travel when the fares are low. Is there a search tool that works this way?

Mel Still answers:

There is: http://www.farecompare.com There’s 2 really good options there to do exactly what you asked for. First, you can choose their “Research Cheapest Airfares” option; enter your 2 cities, click it, and voila…. Second, you can use their “Dream Trips” option; enter your city, click “change” and whoooomp… There it is! It’s an amazing tool in the hunt to find the cheapest airfares. But not only that, when you click a fare you want, choose the available dates, it even compares it against more “unpublished” (aka “consolidator”) fares to see if someone’s selling it even cheaper than the airline itself has it in their computers or on sale.

The main drawback is the same as all other airfare search sites–some low-cost airlines such as Southwest and Allegiant do not participate in other booking sources, so if they serve your route, you have to check those individually.

Your Questions About Best Cheap Airfare Sites

Daniel asks…

Best sites for cheapest airfare?

Shreveport Louisiana to Virginia

Mel Still answers:

Go to www.kayak.com first, then www.hotwire.com, then www.sidekick.com. Try all of them. Also, you can only buy Southwest Airlines tickets on www.southwest.com. So try that too, just to see if SWA services any of those. Try JetBlue.com, too … I am not sure if they fly to the places you are interested in … Just check online. The first three will give you good deals for sure though.
